SEMI Industry Strategy Symposium Europe to Explore Tech’s Role in Meeting Region’s Most Pressing Needs

Leading executives, analysts, economists, and technologists will gather 1-3 April, 2020, at the SEMI Industry Strategy Symposium Europe (ISS Europe) in Brussels, Belgium to highlight opportunities to meet Europe’s most pressing strategic, social and economic needs through technology innovation. “ISS Europe is a powerful forum for identifying collaboration opportunities to strengthen Europe’s competitive advantage in the digital economy,” said Laith Altimime, president of SEMI Europe. “With the emergence of 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR), quantum computing and other leading-edge technologies, the semiconductor industry is well-positioned to help drive the digital transformation for Europe’s societal and economic prosperity.”
ISS Europe 2020 will focus on technology’s role in solving key global challenges, how Europe can hone its expertise in technology areas essential for its competitiveness and security, and the vital role of collaborative innovation. The symposium will kick off with the executive panel Innovations Strengthening European Sovereignty in the Digital Economy and include a discussion about the critical importance of talent, mentoring and diversity in fueling semiconductor industry growth in Europe and internationally.
Executives will network at the opening reception, and on the second day of the event SEMI will announce the 2019 European SEMI Award recognizing the individual or team who has made a significant contribution to the European semiconductor industry.
